Hi, I'm Grady Conwell

Coming to a university near you, far from you, or a moderate distance away.

About Me

I’m a dual Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering major at CSU Chico. Outside class, I’m always moving—whether it's tumbling down dodgy fire roads on my bike, sketching the scenery, or lugging a Santa sack of pencil parts to the post office.

On campus, I serve as Vice President of our Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) chapter, mentoring students and coordinating technical projects. Off campus, my 2023 "entrepreneurial journey" selling precision brass pencil components has grown to 650+ units shipped across 15 countries.

Professionally, I spent the summer interning at Copper, an amazing Berkeley hardware startup. I've since stuck around part time while I attend Chico State. I don't think I could've asked for a better start to my nascent engineering career.

This year, I'm diving back into music, going full steam ahead at Chico, and navigating the university transfer process. I spent the majority of 2025 explaining to everyone my great reasons for not transfering – only to realize that, maybe, there was something to it all along. Summer 2026, of course, remains unresolved: so if you know a great role for me, reach out!
